Urban Decay Smoky Palette
There's A New Palette In Town
Urban Decay Smokey Eye Palette

Over the last five years, Urban Decay has created a line of eye shadow
palettes which include a wide range of neutral shades such as taupe,
bronze and warm rosy neutrals. In 2010, Urban Decay introduced the Naked
Palette which included twelve neutral shades which includes sin
(champagne with a touch of pink), darkhorse (a deep dark chocolate) and
naked ( a medium beige-brown). The palette was introduced at $44.00.
Over the years, Urban Decay palettes have become extremely popular and
because of this the newest palette on the scene, after a very successful
five years and now six total palettes later, Urban Decay has introduced
it's newest addition and hottest commodity, Naked Smoky ($54).
Naked Smoky includes its signature twelve shades which are,
High (champagne shimmer w/micro-glitter), Dirtysweet (medium bronze),
Radar (metallic taupe w/iridescent micro-glitter), Armor (metallic
silver-taupe w/tonal sparkle), Slanted (light metallic gray), Dagger
(medium charcoal w/micro-shimmer), Black Market (jet-black satin),
Smolder (deep plum-taupe), Password (cool taupe matte), Whiskey (rich
brown matte), Combust (soft pink-taupe) and Thirteen (light beige
satin). The palette includes a double-sided eye shadow brush, which is
designed to shadow the cease and create a wide variety of smoky eyes
whether the classic smoky eye, supermodel smoky eye or smoky eye
appropriate for the office, and the palette includes a mirror. Naked
Smoky also includes a witty case with a feature of smoke to enhance the
idea of the smoky eye.
Naked Smoky was created entirely for that fashionable, exhilarating
smoky eye. Unlike the Naked Palettes 1, 2 and 3 which offer only shades
of neutral tones, the smoky palette steps out of the natural comfort
zone to bring color from different hues such as bronzes, mattes, blacks
and grays, taupe's and even eggplant. Also creating originality, Naked
Smoky doesn't range from lightest to darkest but from matte shades to
shimmer shades. Founder Wende Zomnir says "For most smoky-eye kits, when
you get the tutorial card, they are usually three steps to a smoky eye.
I'm calling bullshit on that — there are like 15 steps to a great smoky
eye", "if you do three steps, it's either too harsh or too muddy." So
in other words, this is THE Smoky eye palette to have to get the perfect
smoky eye look.
Naked Smoky hit stores near the end of the Summer months and is looking more and more like a great add on a Christmas list.
