Fashion Comeback

Isn't it funny how fashion repeats itself?
Things you wore as a child come back and you buy them for your children. Its an amazing experience to look back at your childhood and share those experiences as your child begins to engage in them.

Fashion has a funny stylish way of making its mark on the world, if it weren't for Coco Chanel we wouldn't have the little black dress or two toned shoes. Thanks to Queen Victoria in 1840, we wear white at weddings and black at funerals. Becuase of Andy Warhol, we influence fashion with art.

Have you ever asked yourself why and how? I have. Now I'm a graduate from the University of Akron with a BA in Fashion Merchandising and have learned all about it!

Fashion works in mysterious ways, "One day your in, and the next your out," famous words from Heidi Klum on Project Runway, which is on its 14th season. Although, some things stay as classics, like the LBD.

Fashion is beautiful, fashion is bold, fashion has taken over. Fashion is in the food you eat, the house you live, the car you drive; not just the clothes you buy or acessories that match. When people
think fashion they think clothes, shoes, but it so much for then that. Take makeup for instance, its art
on ur face, you paint your way to something else you wanna be. Fashion is a design, its an art. You see yourself in clothing that designers put together. Fashion has come a along way and different styles always repeat and make a comeback, yet, some things are better off not showing their faces again. Like the paper dresses of the 60s or the 1900s when it was shamed that women wore wearing pants.

How about the hippie outfits in the 70s or military inspired clothes of the 30s & 40s. Christian Dior, who was only alive a few years after his entrance into the fashion industry, before his sudden tragic death, is still known today for his 'new look'! Many designers have become a classic like Dior, Chanel and YSL. But some have amazing designs that have stayed in history like Elsa Schiaparelli.

Pantones are the colors of the clothing, dyes and hard work put in to creating the clothing you wear. Remember in "The Devil Wears Prada" when Miranda made Andy feel like shit for not knowing her blues, know your pantones! Sit down and watch the Devil Wears Prada' Sex and the City and anything Fashion.

Before you pick out your outfit for the day, think about when the last time
it was in style, who designed it, who influenced it, when it will come back, think about the beautiful times of fashion changing for good and bad. You will be happy you did and very knowledgable about the garments your wearing and why. The 90s are back people, find out why and what style you'll be a fan of the comeback for.
