The Blonde Salad  is a blog written and composed by founder, and famous fashion blogger, Chiara Ferragni. Chiara is originally from Cremona, Italy and first began her blog, The Blonde Salad, in 2009, before blogging was exactly popular. She began her blog to express herself through photography and fashion. Chiara has collaborated with major Fashion Houses, she is featured in top magazines, she has her own line of shoes and has been named one of the most influential people of international fashion by The Business of Fashion. Chiara Ferragni has a large array of crew, at The Blonde Salad, that helps inspire people around the company.
The Blonde Salad’s website is user friendly. The website displays fashion inspiration for shopping, with photos, people and quotes, also travels to multiple fashion capitals including Paris, Italy, New York and L.A. The site also offers pages on Chiara’s looks and stories. The Blonde Salad is a site that offers plenty of photos, along with editorials on everything and anything fashion. Chiara takes her readers on her adventures with her by posting about her travels to other countries while enjoying the international fashions.  Chiara is now a case study at Harvard University, which is exploring her aspect of her growing and global business.

The Blonde Salad reports on fashion daily whether it is news, photos, travels, advice or OOTD (outfit of the day), Chiara and her TBS crew report daily to bring their readers the most with fashion. Last year, 2014, The Blonde Salad and Chiara Ferragni made close to eight million dollars. She was featured in this months’ Lucky Magazine along with two other bloggers who were considered the top fashion bloggers.

Currently the top reports and features on The Blonde Salad are “In my Calvin’s”, “5 Things You Didn’t Know About Kanye For Adidas Original”, and the feature on Chiara’s Harvard case study. Each month the site offers different top reports.  “In My Calvin’s” is a feature on Chiara’s Calvin Klein photo shoot. This feature is solely based on photography but is an inspiration within fashion. Andrew Arthur did this photo shoot in downtown LA.

The Blonde Salad report on Kanye for Adidas marks five different things that readers may or may not have known about the Kanye West collection including her opinion on the show, which turned out to be how non-innovative or noticeable the collection was. The feature on The Blonde Salad being part of a case study demonstrates how the company, including Chiara’s shoe line, generates revenue with the help of their 16-person TBS crew. The studies main focus is to decide Chiara’s brand and blog should be merged or kept separate. According to Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), who created the report on Chiara, “also explores topics like advertising on the site, editorial independence and whether Ferragni should become more autonomous from brand partnerships.”

Chiara Ferragni and The Blonde Salad have come along way since 2009, creating millions in revenue. WWD states “Next month, Ferragni will branch out into other product categories via a capsule collection to be sold exclusively on Chiara Ferragni Collection, including a backpack, a beanie, a T-shirt and an iPhone case all adorned with the “eye” motif from Ferragni’s best-selling shoe style.” Chiara is an inspiration and her blog has branched out and helped her to become one of the top fashion bloggers.  There are so many more exciting things in store for The Blonde Salad.
