Continuing My Lifestyle Journey Through Being Healthy

After giving up on losing weight and not taking getting ready for my wedding seriously, I have teamed up with a few different ways to keep me on track, eating healthy, working out, gaining motivation and getting myself ready for my wedding.

October 24, 2015 is the big day!! Every bride wants to look beautiful and thin and healthy on her special day, I am one of those brides!! As you all know I have been struggling with not really losing weight but actually keeping up the motivation to do so. So here are some things that have kept me on track lately, got me back down to a total weight loss of 17 pounds and those I have met through my journey that are helpng me out and keeping my motivation up!

As you all know I switched to vegetarianism which is not only helping me lose weight but if actually better for my body considering I am lactose and have IC. I eat lots of fruits and vegetables, soy, nuts, grains, and I have been maintaining a healthy, meat-free diet all while eating in moderation. I am also trying to stay away from cheat days. I am also making healthier choices when going out to eat like the brunch we had a few days ago at First Watch in Akron, Oh.

As far as working out, I have started up T25 again and also 30-60 minutes of cardio on the stationary bike. I do have a membership to Planet Fitness so my fiance, Sergio, and I will also head there on the days we are off together and also hiking and wlaking the trails. We actually checked out Sand Run in Akron, Oh, which I had been recently introduced to and did 4 miles a few days ago! It was a blast.

I have also been taking advantage of the iPhone 6 new app, Health App. It has been tracking my weight, steps and now sleep. I maintain steps between 7500-10000 a day but lately have kicked it up a notch to between 9500-14000 steps. If you have an iPhone, I highly recommend this app.

I have recently teamed up with a Beach Body coach, Amanda Brown via Facebook who messages me every once in a while for motivation, tips and to check in. She also posts great motivation daily. And she is active with BeachBody and can relate with me through T25 and other amazing BeachBody workouts, coaches and programs. Another key person to helping me lately is Dawne McNeil. She has been keeping me motivation practically everyday through text, emails and calls. We have met up to workout at Sand Run and been able to go over my goals for the wedding and long term goals. She gives my awesome tips, great motivation and amazing recipes to try. I actually worked with her daughter at Victoria's Secret and came across her Facebook, Whole Health, Inc which she updates recipes daily and also health facts and tips!
