Winter Reading List 2017/2018

You know how much I love creating these posts! Here's your winter reading list.

I love cozying up with a giant, knit sweater,  fleece blanket, hot chocolate and a fantastic book.

Believe it or not, reading helps my anxiety. For starters, it takes me away from my own problems and puts me into a fantasy world where I can just get away. Another reason, it quiets my mind from my own thoughts and worries for a while. Reading can train your brain to control your thoughts.

The Regulars
Regulars girls turned gorgeous. The Regulars by Georgia Clark is a book about three girls in their twenties, just trying to live in New York City. But one day, everything changes and doors are opening that had never opened before. (Amazon, $10.87).

Big Magic
Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert is a book based on passion and inspiration. Big Magic influences us into a creative world of wonder and joy. If you are looking to be empowered, Big Magic is your book. (Amazon, $11.71).
Furiously Happy
Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson is a "funny book about horrible things". No seriously. I just finished reading this book and I was cry-laughing basically the whole time. It actually helped me get through some hard stuff in the past few weeks. I would just pick it up and read, or go back and read something I knew was super funny in order to just laugh my but off. If you're in need a a good laugh, this book is it. It taught me how to laugh off some of my own problems. (Amazon, $10.00)
Darker by E.L. James is the second book in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, Grey's side. I am obsessed with this trilogy. The first book, Grey, was sexy, intriguing and a little creepy but I loved it and with the final movie coming out in February, I can't wait to read this and see his side first. (Amazon, $8.99).
The Party
The Party by Robyn Harding is an intense read about a simple Sweet 16th birthday party gone awry. Dark secrets are aired and friends turned enemies. (Amazon, $8.88).
